No wheelchair assistance despite pre-booking
My elderly mother pre-booked wheelchair assistance for her arrival into JFK. No one showed up at the gate and she had to walk a very long distance to immigration. When we complained, staff were dismissive. Accessibility needs must be taken seriously.
Bag delayed 3 days after T5 arrival
Landed at Terminal 5 on a Tuesday evening and my checked bag never arrived. It took three days and multiple calls before it was delivered. The baggage desk had a queue of over an hour with only two staff. Communication was almost non-existent.
Involuntarily bumped despite valid boarding pass
I had a confirmed seat and a printed boarding pass but was denied boarding at the gate in Frankfurt due to overbooking. The rebooking put me 6 hours later and the compensation offered was far below what regulations require.

The Boeing 777 is a family of long-range, wide-body, twin-engine jet airliners developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Launched in 1990 and entering service in 1995, it was the world's largest twin-engine commercial aircraft until the introduction of the 777X. It was the first commercial aircraft to be designed entirely on computers. The 777 family includes several variants, such as the 777-200, 777-200ER, 777-200LR, 777-300, 777-300ER, and the freighter 777F. The 777-300ER became the most popular variant, widely adopted for long-haul international routes due to its fuel efficiency and extended range. The next-generation 777X, featuring composite folding wingtips and new GE9X engines, is currently under development and in testing, with entry into service anticipated in the mid-2020s.
