Dominicana de Aviaci

Dominicana de Aviación, formally known as Compañía Dominicana de Aviación, was the national airline of the Dominican Republic for much of the 20th century. It served as a key link between the Caribbean nation and international destinations, operating scheduled passenger and cargo services. The airline faced persistent financial difficulties and operational challenges throughout its later years, which ultimately led to the suspension of its operations. It ceased functioning as an active carrier and was never successfully restructured or relaunched as a viable airline. Despite its closure, Dominicana de Aviación holds a significant place in Dominican aviation history as the country's primary flag carrier during a formative era of commercial aviation in the Caribbean region.
