Click (Mexicana)

Click Mexicana was a low-cost carrier subsidiary of Mexicana de Aviación, one of Mexico's oldest airlines. Launched to compete in the growing budget travel market, Click operated under the IATA code QA and focused primarily on domestic Mexican routes at lower fares than its parent company. The airline was established as part of Mexicana's strategy to capture price-sensitive travelers who might otherwise choose competing low-cost carriers such as Volaris or Interjet. Click utilized a simplified service model to keep operating costs down. When Mexicana de Aviación ceased operations in August 2010 following financial difficulties and bankruptcy proceedings, Click Mexicana also ceased flying, as it was deeply integrated with its parent company's operations and infrastructure.
