Go Air, officially known as Go Airlines (India) Ltd, was an Indian ultra-low-cost carrier founded by the Wadia Group. It operated scheduled domestic and limited international services, positioning itself as a budget-friendly option for Indian travelers.
The airline launched operations in 2005 and grew to serve dozens of destinations across India, along with select international routes to destinations such as the Maldives, Thailand, and the UAE. It was known for its lean operational model and fleet standardization around Airbus A320-family aircraft.
In May 2022, Go Air filed for voluntary insolvency resolution before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in India, citing financial difficulties exacerbated by engine supply issues and the impact of COVID-19. The airline suspended all flight operations and effectively ceased functioning as an airline, with its operating certificate eventually lapsing.
Hubs & network
Go Air primarily operated out of Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai).
Fleet
Go Air operated an all-Airbus fleet consisting of A320ceo and A320neo family aircraft.
