AirlinesAirports profile

Latvia's national carrier connecting the Baltic region to Europe.

Founded
1995
Headquarters
Riga, Latvia
Air Baltic is the national airline of Latvia and one of the leading carriers in the Baltic states. Founded in 1995, the airline operates scheduled passenger services from its main hub at Riga International Airport to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. The airline has undergone significant modernization, transitioning its fleet entirely to the Airbus A220-300 (formerly Bombardier CS300), making it one of the world's first airlines to operate a single-type narrowbody fleet of this aircraft. This strategic move has improved fuel efficiency and reduced operational complexity. Air Baltic is majority owned by the Latvian government and has positioned itself as a regional connectivity hub, offering codeshare agreements with numerous major airlines. It has received recognition for punctuality and operational reliability within the European aviation sector.
Hubs & network
Air Baltic operates primarily from Riga International Airport (RIX), with secondary operations at Tallinn Airport (TLL) and Vilnius Airport (VNO).
Fleet
Air Baltic operates an all-Airbus A220-300 fleet, having fully transitioned away from earlier mixed aircraft types.
