Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC/OMDW), located in the Jebel Ali district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a large-scale aviation development operated by Dubai Airports. It opened for cargo operations in 2010 and for limited passenger services in 2013, functioning as Dubai's second international airport alongside Dubai International (DXB).
The airport is the centrepiece of the Dubai World Central (DWC) development zone, a planned aerotropolis encompassing logistics, commercial, and residential districts. In its ultimate master-planned form, the airport is intended to become the world's largest aviation hub, with a projected eventual capacity exceeding 200 million passengers per year.
As of the early 2020s, passenger operations at DWC remain limited, with flydubai and other carriers having used the facility periodically. Major expansion works have been announced to eventually shift primary Dubai aviation activity from DXB to DWC, with large-scale construction phases planned over coming decades.

Getting to & from
The airport is accessible primarily by road via Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, with future Dubai Metro Route 2020 extension connectivity planned.
