Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) is the main international airport serving Saint Lucia, located near the town of Vieux Fort at the southern tip of the island. It handles the majority of long-haul and transatlantic flights to and from Saint Lucia, making it the island's busiest port of entry for international visitors. The airport sits on a former US military airfield known as Beane Field, which was constructed during World War II.
