Small airstrip serving Belize's beloved island village.
Location
Caye Caulker, Belize
Caye Caulker Airport (IATA: CUK, ICAO: MZCK) is a small general aviation airstrip located on Caye Caulker, a small island in the Belize Barrier Reef. It primarily serves light aircraft connecting the island to Belize City and other nearby destinations within Belize.
The airport plays an important role in island accessibility, as Caye Caulker is a popular backpacker and tourist destination known for its relaxed atmosphere and marine environment. The airstrip is short and accommodates only small propeller aircraft operated by Belizean domestic carriers.
Given the island's small size, the airport has minimal facilities and no significant terminal infrastructure. Travelers often choose between the short flight and water taxi services to reach the island.
Terminals
The airport has no formal passenger terminal, operating from a basic open-air facility suited to light aircraft traffic.
Getting to & from
The airport is within walking or golf-cart distance of the village center on the small island, with no formal ground transportation network required.
