Chandigarh airport is compact and generally well-maintained — the floors are clean and the terminal feels airy. Security queue was a bit slow on a busy Saturday morning, took nearly 25 minutes to get through. Food options are really limited though; there's a small café near the departure gate but the sandwiches were overpriced and stale. Staff at check-in were polite and helpful, which made up for some of the other shortcomings.

I was honestly impressed by how clean this airport is — the washrooms were spotless even during peak hours, which is rare for a Tier-2 airport in India. Drop-off area is a bit of a mess though; autos and cabs all pile up at the same point and there's no proper lane management, so we were stuck for a good 10 minutes just getting to the entrance. Parking charges feel a little steep for the size of the facility. Overall a decent experience for a quick domestic hop.

Flew out of IXC last month on an IndiGo flight to Mumbai and the security process was surprisingly smooth — no unnecessary hassle and the CISF staff were professional. There's a Punjab Grill Express outlet airside now which actually serves decent dal makhani and paranthas, so that was a pleasant surprise compared to my last visit. WiFi is practically useless — connected fine but the speeds were so slow I gave up trying to load anything. Would still prefer this over the chaos of bigger airports any day.
