Dobbins Air Reserve Base (MGE/KMGE) is a joint-use military installation located in Marietta, Georgia, approximately 16 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. It serves as home to the 94th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command, which operates C-130H Hercules transport aircraft.
The base shares its airfield with Lockheed Martin's adjacent facility, which has historically used the runway for aircraft production and testing, including the famous C-130 and F-22 programs. The installation also supports Naval Air Station Atlanta and various other tenant units.
While it holds an IATA code (MGE) suggesting limited civilian use, Dobbins is primarily a military facility and does not serve scheduled commercial passenger traffic. It occasionally handles VIP, government, and emergency operations.
