Tjilik Riwut Airport is the primary commercial airport serving Palangkaraya, the capital of Central Kalimantan province on the island of Borneo, Indonesia. It is named after Tjilik Riwut, a prominent local governor and independence fighter who played a significant role in the region's history.
The airport handles domestic flights connecting Palangkaraya to major Indonesian cities including Jakarta, Surabaya, and Balikpapan. It serves as an important transportation hub for a province largely covered by rainforest and river systems, where air travel is often the most practical means of reaching the capital.
