Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is the primary commercial airport serving Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province in central China. Situated in the Huangpi District approximately 26 kilometers north of the city center, it serves as a major hub for domestic and international air travel in the region. The airport has undergone significant expansion over the years, including the addition of Terminal 3, which opened in 2017 and greatly increased the airport's passenger handling capacity. It is one of the busiest airports in central China, handling tens of millions of passengers annually. Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is an international airport serving Wuhan, the capital of South Central China's Hubei province. It was opened on 15 April 1995, replacing the old Wuhan Wangjiadun Airport and Nanhu Airport as the major airport of Wuhan. The airport is located in Wuhan's suburban Huangpi District, around 26 km (16 mi) to the north of Wuhan city center.
