Nagpur airport news
Traveler ratings — NAG
Travelled through Nagpur last month on my way back from a conference and was pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained the terminal is. The toilets near Gate 3 were clean and regularly attended to. Food options are decent but limited — the Café Coffee Day gets very crowded during peak hours and the South Indian counter ran out of idlis by 8 AM. Staff at check-in were helpful and processed my IndiGo boarding quickly.
The airport itself looks good after the renovation but the parking situation is honestly a mess — finding a spot during the afternoon rush is a nightmare and the rates have gone up without any improvement in organization. Dropping someone off is also chaotic because the lanes aren't clearly marked and autowalas just stop anywhere they want. Security queue moved reasonably fast though, took about 12 minutes on a Tuesday morning.
As an NRI visiting relatives in Nagpur every year, I have to say the terminal cleanliness has improved dramatically over the past two years — sparkling floors and no foul smells anywhere. The free Wi-Fi connected instantly and held up well for a 45-minute video call, which I was not expecting at all! But the food is a real letdown for a city famous for its cuisine — overpriced sandwiches and no proper local options like saoji or tarri poha anywhere in sight.
